Lord Jesus, we come before your throne of grace this morning to make a supplication for our children. You said in your word that blessed shall be the fruit of our womb. You also said Lord that if we train up a cild in the way of the Lord, when they are older, they will not depart from theway of the Lord. Our prayer for our children is that you keep them on the straight and narrow path of eternal life. There are a multitude of temptaions and roadblocks to their spiritual growth in the world out there. Our prayer is that you will give them the strenght and the ablity to overcome the temptations and that they will be able to navigate the minefield of the world with caution. We pray they would keep their eyes on you, Jesus, the author and perfector of their faith. We entrust their lives and their spiritual well being into your capable hands. O Lord God, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thine outstreched arms. Nothing is too difficult for thee. We pray that you would surround our children with godly company. You said in your word bad company currupts good manners. Keep our children safe in the arms of Jesus. No weapon formed against them shall prosper and every tongue that rises up in judgement will be proven wrong. Once again we plead the blood of Jesus as a shiled of protection round about them and ask you Jesus that they conduct their lives worthy of the calling of God on their lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

"And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day."

Lord we come to you this busy season to pause and reflect on the true reason for this season. The need to celebrate your first coming as a lowly babe in the manger. We appreciate you laying aside your heavenly glory and coming as a person to experience what we experience and to show us how to live and overcome in this world. Lord you show us that although you are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords you humbled yourself and came as one who serves. Help us to have the same humility so we do not seek to exalt ourselves high over the other but rather to seek to serve. Thank you Lord that through you the pain, sadness and sickness in this world is overcome. Only Jesus can satisfy my soul, only He can change my life and make me whole. I never knew true satisfaction until I found you Lord. Help us to keep seeking you in every area of life. The wise men of old came to seek Him who is born the King of the Jews and we seek you as well. Lord we seek to please you, to serve you, to love you, to honor you and to worship you. This Christmas season we seek Him who our soul loves. In Jesus name. Amen.
