Christmas Prayer
Lord we come to you this auspicious day set aside to commemorate your birth. We thank you Lord for laying aside your divinity and taking on humanity in order to redeem mankind. As it has been said let
us make room in our hearts for Christ to be birthed in us. As the song says "let every heart, prepare Him room" Let the light of the world illuminate the darkness in our lives this Christmas and always. Let us make you welcome in our lives. Father, as we see
the darkness envelop the earth this year, we pray that your Spirit will hover over the darkness and that you would speak light into being. We take this time to plead the blood of Jesus as a shield of protection around us. We pray that no weapon formed against
us will prosper. Protect us from sickness and disease and from every calamity the enemy throws at us. We take up the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the enemy. We ask for your protection over our lives in these last days. We enthroned you King
and Lord over our lives, our families, our neighborhoods and our countries. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

Prayer for guidance
We approach your throne of grace this morning in Jesus name. We ask you to guide our steps. You said in your word that the steps of the righteous are ordered by God. We ask that you direct our
path and show us the right way to take. You order our steps Lord. Again as you said to Jeremiah, I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Father sometimes we don't know which path to take. We pray for a listening ear
and a hearing heart so that we can make the right decisions. Close those doors and opportunities which are not right for us and open those doors which are made for us. Let not the enemy triumph over us. We nullify every plan of the enemy to distract and divert
our attention from the Lord. You are our strength and our strong tower. We come to you for protection from the enemy's attacks. We plead the blood of Jesus as a perimeter of protection over us and our families. Thank you Lord for hearing the cry of our hearts.
We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

Call to repentance
Lord we come to you this Holy day of atonement, Yom Kippur in repentance for our sins and the sins of our land. We ask you Lord to cleanse us from unrighteousness and lead us in paths of righteousness for your name's
sake. Lord we repent for lawlessness in our land. Cleanse us Lord from the sins that so easily beset us. Blessed is the land whose God is the Lord. We decree your Lordship in our Nation. We call forth holiness and righteousness to prevail in our neighborhoods.
We repent for the disregard for You and Your laws in our lives and in our families. We long to crown you the Lord of Lords in every aspect of our lives. Lord we cry for holiness in our hearts and our innermost thoughts. Help us to walk the walk of faith. We
trust and believe that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think according to the power that works in us. Once again Lord we ask that holiness and righteousness prevail in our lives, our families and in our neighborhoods. We repent
of all wrongdoing. We consecrate our lives to serve you. We truly crown you the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. In Jesus name. Amen.

Lord we approach your throne of grace boldly by the blood of Jesus. We pray specifically that you would deliver us from evil. As you are aware Lord, we live in a fallen world and we are surrounded by evil. There are trials and temptations all around us. The enemy of our soul is trying to steal our faith and trust in you. Some of our family and friends have abandoned you due to a demonic assault on their faith. We beseech you Father to help us overcome temptations and please help us to hold on to your unchanging hand. Lord we intercede for those who have shipwrecked their faith. We pray for your mercy and grace to guide them through the rough seas of life. We pray for a revelation of yourself and your love to envelop them. You have loved them with an everlasting love and you will draw them back to the fold by your loving kindness. As we see the way things are unfolding in the world around us we realize that the season of your return is near. We pray for the back sliders to return to you their first love. Draw them back with your loving kindness. Nothing is too difficult for you O Lord. Bring back the wayward children and families. As you said in your word in my father's house are many mansions and I go to prepare a place for you. Thank you Father for answering this our supplication for the wayward children. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen.

Lord we approach your throne of grace and mercy to intercede for the prodigal sons and daughters. You said in your Word that children are our hearitage. Some have wandered far from the Good Shepherd's loving care. We stand in the gap for them and ask for your divine protection over them. We plead the blood of Jesus as a shield of protection around them. Your word says we shall overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. The enemy of our souls has blinded the eyes of many children Lord. We pray that your light will shine upon them. Many look to satisfy their lusts in worldly pleasure. However you said in your presence is fullness of joy and at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Help them to be baptized in the river of your love. Let them experience the love and the joy that are only found in you. In the words of the psalmist: Unto Thee O Lord do we lift up our souls. Let not the enemy triumph over us. Let them consider in their hearts like the prodigal did in the parable: In my Father's house even the servants live better then I do. Cause them to turn around and return to the Father's house. We know that your love knows no bounds. Reach out in your mercy and grace and pull them out of the rough seas in whih they seem to be drowning. Let there be a turn around in their lives. For once again in the words of the psalmist: The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. We rely on your mercy and grace to bring back the prodigals into the Father's house. In the name of Jesus we ask this. Amen.
